SE(Second Echelon)

SEchelon (Second Echelon) is a login password verification algorithm. The system checks the password for compliance with one of three types: correct, incorrect and blackout. This algorithm works on both the login manager (SDDM) and the screen lock (D2W_Locker) Correct - lets the user into the system. Incorrect - gives an error message. Blackout password when entered turns off the system.

This is useful when the user is away from the PC, it is locked out and the user is asked for a password. When you type, the system turns off, and then you can use NukeLuks

Instruction:

  1. Launch Dashboard

  2. System Control

  3. Second Echelon → Set password

  4. Set a password on SE

Your system will now turn off when you enter the set password at the login session or on the lock screen.
